Are Chip and Jo ever at the restaurant where people have the opportunity to meet them??
Everything was amazing. Service was super quick and seating was much quicker than expected or told.We started with the deviled eggs and bacon. The jalapeno jam was a refreshing and phenomenal surprise. Not spicy but just all around great! You cant go wrong with the lavender donut holes they were one of the biggest surprises for me. They were so refreshing, which you would not expect from a donut. I got the farmhouse plate. It was awesome. Simple but a perfect standard breakfast. The strawberry butter was good, but I got a side of gravy to go along with the biscuit. My wife got the french toast plate and it was perfectly cooked.
MoreThis is a busy place, but they are organized and efficient so the wait time goes quickly. We arrived at 8am on a Saturday and waited about 45 minutes (we didn't make a reservation) in a beautiful outdoor area with shade, greenery, and fans. The food was delicious and the orange juice was some of the best I've had anywhere. The place was clean and tidy which made for a relaxing atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting here for an excellent breakfast when traveling to Waco.
MoreGreat tourist experience with exceptional service. The food is good but I wouldn't say "unforgettable". The atmosphere is fun with out of town folks who are excited to be there and this is what makes it a great place to visit.
MoreFirst time here - left somewhat disappointed. Had reservations and got in FAST. Service was fine. Food was a big let down. Everything that should be served hot was lukewarm or cold (e.g. cold tomato basil soup - and the added croutons were super soggy). Bread on finger sandwiches (Tea Sampler) was dry - these seemed to be prepared early in the day and by noon the bread was dry. The chicken salad was great but croissant was also somewhat dry. Breakfast taco had a cold flour tortilla - cheese inside didnβt even melt (cuz eggs werenβt hot) - donβt recommend these at all. Salad greens were good and decent portions. No one cared for the tater-tots which were also cold but seemed like a strange combo of undercooked hash brown mix and mashed potatoes (no one at the table liked them). We go to Magnolia and Silos a lot and usually quality is awesome - so I donβt know what happened today. Probably wonβt revisit though.
MoreI was very disappointed in the tater tots. They looked delicious but tasted dry and bland. Itβs a real shame cause they should have been delicious. My husband had the Gaines burger and rated it 6 out of 1 to 10 rating scale. The chips should have been home made but were bagged chips. I had French toast breakfast which was good, but nothing special. We went once while traveling but would not return. The silos were fun to see but the store was way overpriced. I think I can get the same or similar merchandise at Target. They have done a wonderful thing for the area and built a brand but if they donβt fix that menu and quality of food they will lose their momentum as the show fades away their popularity. I hate to have to post a review that is negative cause I love them, but the wait, the heat and poor quality was a disappointment. Thus is not a destination itβs a pass through location.
MoreI love what Chip and Joanna have done with this place. It's beautiful. No detail overlooked. The food is interesting but not weird. I recommend getting reservations online.
MoreThe good: Had a reservation and only waited a minute or two to be seated. Staff is friendly. The decor is beautiful. Portions are generous and we found that there was more than enough to share a meal. The bad: The food is mediocre and way overpriced ($9 for oatmeal-seriously??). My scrambled eggs were served cold and very wet. The waitress sent out a new order of them and they were not any better. My daughter loved the pancakes but thought the bacon was too peppery (i thought it was good). The tots were okay. Grits were good but I never could get a spoon to eat with them. My other daughter ordered the Gaines burger and really liked it. I can say that I've been there, but not sure that I'd go back.
MoreBig portions of amazing food! Workers were happy and very nice. Great service.
We ate breakfast there on a Tuesday morning around 9:30. We got right in and were seated. The service was exceptional. Our meal for the most part was above average. Got the lavender donut holes, 8 for $6. Definitely not worth it. The oatmeal with fruit topping was very good and plenty of it but I think $9 for oatmeal is pretty steep considering there were not any other items served with it. Hubby had the Eggs Benedict and he said it was good and there was a lot of it. Coffee not anything to write home about. Overall, I am happy we went but it's one of those 'Been there, done it' type of deals.
MoreIt was so good. We didn't reserve seats so at first I was worried we weren't able to dine in, but they had so much space and the waiting service was great. We didn't wait at all and the food was amazing π
MoreThe food was excellent! Great portion sizes for the money! Awesome decor and good service!
MoreMagnolia is not just a tourist attraction. They are the real deal with seriously great food and service. We have been several times and have tried many of the menu item. We have never been disappointed. We highly recommend Magnolia
MoreIt was worth the wait. I have been to Waco 3 time without going to Magnolia Table. Today was the day! Even with the social distancing it was amazing. We had breakfast at the restaurant and ordered the "Avacado toast " and chicken salad sandwich to go for lunch. We figured darting in and out of places around the silos we didn't want to have to worry about lunch. Best move ever! Both were well worth it.
MoreAWESOME! We loved it so much we came back again the next morning. Timed our visit just right and managed to avoid the long wait-times as mentioned in other reviews. Really impressed with the friendly service and how efficient they are in managing the constant flow of customers.
MoreUnlike the Silos, a trip to Magnolia table is actually worth your time. Be prepared to wait if you're going on a weekend; get there as early as possible to reduce your wait time. In my opinion, it's worth it, even if you have to wait. If you're going on a weekday, you are able to make reservations. Breakfast is great, iced tea, juice and coffee are good as well. Overall, a wonderful place to visit!
MoreThis place is peaceful and a little piece of heaven. The whole menu is delicious and worth the drive I do monthly.
MoreVery good food! The staff was quick and friendly. The "tater tots" are huge. Portion sizes for every meal are good sized. I'd highly recommend reserving your table online in advance to save yourself a long wait time.
MoreFriendly staff, clean, uncluttered restaurant. Menu is short, not a ton of variety, but that can be okay. I ordered the avacado toast which was not toasted. Flavor was decent but nothing I couldn't have easily made at home. The topping off microgreens was pretty skimpy. My daughter got the pancake platter. This had a lot of food on it, but was very unremarkable in flavors. Pancakes tasted like I-Hop. The sausage was under cooked and lacking in flavor. I really was excited though to try the homemade tater tots. Again, disappointing. Texture was more like mashed potatoes and flavors were, again, lacking seasoning.Iced tea was like Lipton. Not bad, but with the reputation of this restaurant, I really expected and wanted more.
MoreReally good customer service. A decent wait at 45 minutes. I ordered an appetizer because the menu had a very limited selection. The bacon was tasty but too sweet. More like candied bacon than breakfast bacon. The deviled eggs were bland. The biscuit and strawberry butter were excellent. I wanted to experience this restaurant but it was nothing special in my opinion. I'd come back for the biscuits but that's it. If the food quality matched the customer service this place would be a personal favorite
MoreAlways a good meal! Nothing bad to say about the food, service or bldg. Well hold that thought... I did notice that there were 3 light bulbs burnt out on the outside string lights. In my opinion this is completely unacceptable... Chip and Joanna better get a grip on this place before it falls apart. Safety, aesthetics, ambiance all ruined because of this severe ignorance to details. π Ha! Seriously, check it out! Is the food good? Yes! Is it a tourist trap? Yes! Should you expect to wait? Yes! for goodness sakes people, be intelligent about your travels and plan ahead! If you get there at 6 am, you can walk right in, just like many other establishments with good reputations! Enjoy your time in Waco, visit the tourist spots and be patient! Keep up the good work Chip, Joanna and Magnolia crew, y'all have set the bar high and we look forward to great things to come in the future!
MoreFood was excellent! The homemade tator tots that you get with the Farm Breakfast were really good. The homemade buttery biscuit is awesome by itself but then they give you this strawberry butter that takes it to a whole different level. My wife really enjoyed her avocado toast with a poached egg on top. We were super impressed by how everything was so aesthetically pleasing.
MoreFood was great, our server Joe was fantastic. We waited 45 minutes, not bad considering social distancing and extra cleaning time for tables and chairs. We had the chicken salad with lemonade and lavender to drink. Traded out the kettle chips for the tater tots. Yum!
MoreAmazing service!!! We originally arrived on Friday morning but weβre not able to be seated (due to Covid) the hosts were very sweet and gave us great ideas/options. There was one very kind gentleman in particular who later spotted us at the Magnolia Press and asked us how our trip was going and if we were able to make reservations- amazing! Today, Saturday, we had lunch and it was so fresh and delicious!! I wish we lived in Waco- weβd add this to our FAVORITES and become regulars!! π
MoreGreat portions and reasonable prices. Super cute environment and the staff were so friendly! There was a little bit of a wait to get in, but not too bad. DELICIOUS lavender lemonade!
MoreI had the chickens salad and it was one of the beat salads I have ever had in my life. Rolls with jam were quite tasty too!
MoreFood is good, biscuits were AMAZING. 2 hour wait today in the 90+ degree heat was RUFFFF. We got there at 12:30 and we're pretty much the last people to get seated right before they closed at 3. Service was great though! Wouldn't go back based on the 2 hour wait in the heat.
MoreGreat breakfast for lunch! So much food. Took all CDC precautions.
Seeing this place on TV did it no justice. It is a must see. Love the designs and decorations. The food was amazingly fresh. Would absolutely recommend! This place is loved by many, so ensure that you allow at least half an hour for wait. The wait is worth it.
MoreThe food was great. The cake was huge and so good. Our server Amanda was friendly, kind, and so much fun. She was outstanding!
MoreDrove in from Moore Oklahoma to celebrate my cousin's birthday. We both left stuffed and happy. The food is great!
